Retailers are fighting back against online shopping by transforming major centres into “destination locations”.

The large format retail sector is showing signs of life with Alan Bond’s grandson, Banjo Bond, finalising a deal to buy a centre in Perth for around $74.8m, as investors pick out resilient areas of property.

Endeavour told investors it is concerned by the “ongoing and significant disruption” to the business and will now put retail veteran Bill Wavish up for election at this year’s annual general meeting.
